The Problem
Water was entering the home through the chimney during rainstorms, staining the interior wall and ceiling.
Diagnosis
The flashing had pulled away from the chimney and the crown was cracked, creating two separate entry points for water.
Solution
We rebuilt the flashing with step flashing and counter flashing, repaired the crown with a flexible sealant, and waterproofed the chimney exterior.
